Plotter Cut and Custom Converting of Reflective Sheeting
Custom converting for reflective sheeting: plotter cut kiss cut slit rolls and sheets. Tolerances substrate notes MOQ and how to send drawings with your RFQ.
Can reflective sheeting be cut to custom shapes?
Yes — plotter cut, kiss cut, slit rolls and sheeted panels are standard converting services for reflective films. Quote custom shapes by sending a DXF or PDF drawing with dimensions, corner radii, and tolerances.
Converting menu (demo defaults)
| Service | What you get | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Plotter cut | Through-cut legends and shapes | Sign letters, symbols, borders |
| Kiss cut | Shape cut, liner intact | Peel-and-apply decals |
| Precision slit | Narrow rolls from 1220 mm masters | Channelizer and post wraps |
| Sheeting | Cut-to-size panels | Pre-sized sign overlays |
Drawing requirements for a clean quote
- File: DXF preferred; PDF acceptable; dimensioned sketch works for simple rectangles.
- Include: overall size, corner radius, hole positions, quantity per shape, and grain/print direction if printed.
- State the liner preference (keep on for kiss-cut decals).
What affects MOQ and lead time
Simple rectangles and standard slits follow stock lead times (demo default 10–15 days). Nested multi-shape layouts and tight radii add tooling time. Removable-adhesive constructions may convert differently from permanent ones — flag it on the RFQ.
